3/9/08 - Detailed results from the 4th Anniversary Show

AAW's 4th anniversary show is in the books and what a night it was! Yet another capacity crowd at the Eagles Club witnessed the below results:

Pre show:
Derek St. Holmes and Hunter Matthews d. Berwyn Brawler and Secret Ninja
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Show opened with "Tenacious P" Phil Colvin interviewing Keith Walker in the lockerrom earlier in the day. Walker was confident we would defeat Eric Priest. When asked why he missed the February show he once again said Harley Race will always come before AAW. He predicted the fans would love him once again after he won the AAW title.

-The AAW announce team of Tenacious P and Derek St. Holmes welcomed the crowd and thanked them for making the 4th Anniversary show possible. A loud "AAW" chant rang out as Joey Eastman's music hit. Eastman said there was no problems between the Northstar Express and The Phoenix Twins and he was out to talk about Arik Cannon. Eastman issued an open challenge that brought out former AAW CEO Billy Whack. Whack has been gone for nine months after Jimmy Jacobs, Arik Cannon and the NSE jumped him. He said he wanted a piece of Cannon but he would not let his ego get the best of him, he would let EGO get the best of Cannon!

Egotistico Fantastico w/Billy Whack d. Arik Cannon w/ Joey Eastman

The crowd erupted as Ego made is return to AAW! After a hard fought match he put away Cannon with the "Ego Driver" reverse tombstone. After the match Whack said he and Ego are going after Jimmy Jacobs and the Heritage title!

-Valerie Malone came out and claimed the reason Silas Young was let go by WWE was because she sent them a tape of Silas putting his hands on her and WWE "frowns upon violence against women". She brought out the "Ultimate Fighter 5" reality show star Wayne Weems and said he would be the man to put Silas in his place. This brought out Young who quickly threw Weems over the top rope and the battle royal was on!

Silas Young won the 20 man battle royal to qualify for the Final Four

Alot going on in this one. Keith Walker dominated early until 12 men ganged up and threw him out. The NSE eliminated the Phoenix Twins proving there are still problems in Joey Eastman World Wide. Tyler Black then went on a run until Jerry Lynn came out and distracted him as Tirk Davis hit him with a low blow and tossed him out! It came down to Danny Daniels, Marek Brave and Silas Young. Silas was somehow able to overcome the odds and toss out both members of JJ Inc! Silas would advance to the Final four.

- Promo backstage from Austin Aries talking about walking out of the Final Four with the AAW title and adding it to his many accomplishments.

Chandler McClure d. Golden Vampire

McClure got an easy win and then Eric Priest charged the ring. Chandler wanted no part of the "Gold Standard". The Golden Vampire got an FU69 from Priest as a parting gift.

Eric Priest d. Keith Walker

Another classic match from these two as they brawled throught the ringside area. The fans were all over Walker here. Priest got the win with a Diamnond Cutter variation but there was controversy as it appeared Walker got his shoulder up in the knick of time. Referee PJ Drumond's call would stand and Walker went ballistic.

The Phoenix Twins w/ Joey Eastman d. Absolute Answer

Eastman told the crowd not to cheer for the Twins which made them get behind Tweek and Dash even more. A good showing by Caden Ames and Chris Able but in the end the Twins came out on top and told Eastman they wanted their title shot.

Ryan Boz d. Dan Lawrence in a Berwyn Street Fight

Possibly the wildest brawl in AAW History. Lawrence came in from behind Boz and smashed a styrofoam cooler full of Pabst Blue Ribbon and ice over Boz's head! This one got increasingly violent as Boz stapled AAW flyers to Lawrence's back and forehead! Lawrence rallied and set up a guard rail between the ring apron and the guardrail on the other side. Boz pressed slammed Lawrence onto the guardrail bridge as the crowd chanted "Holy Sh*t!" No one in the Eagles Club was sitting down now as Lawrence busted Boz open with a chair wrapped in barbed wire! Both men were now bloody as Lawrence set up a table in the ring. Boz hit a top rope tombstone piledriver through the table and barbed wire chair to finally put away Lawrence. A must see brawl.

- Promo from Jerry Lynn and Jim Jesus in the back. Lynn asked where Jim was earlier when he had to take care of Tyler in the battle royal. Jim Jesus told him not to worry and he made a deal with DP Associates to keep Tyler out of the Final Four. Jim told Lynn to relax as he was the champ and he didn't need to worry about anything.

- Promo from Adrenaline Overdose. Holister said that even though Bryce was not a hundred percent they would be out for revenge on JJ Inc. Benjamin was fired up and said he didn't care about the doctors, he was coming back tonight!

Tyler Black d. Trik Davis w/ Dave Prazak

Black got revenge on Trik for taking him out of the battle royal and pinned him after a small package driver. He then called out JJ In who had an advantageon Tyler until Holister and Benjamin hit the ring!

Danny Daniels&Marek Brave w/ Jim Jesus d. Bryce Benjamin/Shane Holister

Daniels and Brave worked over Bryce's shoulder most of the match. Benjamin rallied but in the end Daniels was able to keep Bryce down for the three count. Bryce recieved a standing ovation for his gutsy effort.

Northstar Express w/ Joey Eastman d. Zach Gowen&Krotch w/ Nikki to retain the AAW Tag Titles

Eastman and Nikki both got involved as the NSE once again retained their titles.

Jerry Lynn retained the AAW Heavyweight Title in the Final Four Austin Aries d. Josh Abercrombie Silas Young d. Austin Aries Jerry Lynn d. Silas Young

An action packed match that came down to Silas against Jerry Lynn. After Valerie Malone hit Silas with a low blow Jerry Lynn again was able to escape with the AAW Heavyweight title by the skin of his teeth.

AAW is back at the Eagles Club 4/5 with the return of Mdogg20, Jimmy Jacobs, Rasche Brown and much more to be announced.

____________________________________________________

After the match Tweek and Dash said Joey Eastman was not in the building but they wanted a title match with Corbin and Cruz. The NSE came out and promised the Twins as soon as Joey came back they would get their shot.

The Northstar Express d. Absolute Answer to retain the AAW Tag Titles

A valiant effort by Ames and Able but they were defeated after Brandon Blaze interference and a low blow by Corbin. Post match the Phoenix Twins jumped the champs and a pull apart brawl ensued.

*Promo from Jayson Reign in front of the exit sign backstage. He said it was never about him, it was always about the company and the fans. He said he was so proud of how far AAW has come and thanked the fans one last time.

*Kevin Harvey interviewed Eric Priest in the ring about his Dog Collar match later in the night. Chandler McClure came to ringside in his wheelchair promising a "miracle". He then rolled into the ring and sat back down in his chair. Priest doubted Chandler's injuries and said he let him off the hook when he interrupted him last month but not tonight. Priest nailed McClure and knocked him off his wheelchair and then continued to beat on him. Priest then proclaimed "It's a miracle!"

Josh Abercrombie d. "Amazing N8 Mattson w/ Truth Martini

Truth is suffering from last months neck injury so he will now be in the corner of Mattson. After a competitive match Abercrombie got the win with a lungblower.

* Valerie Malone came to the ring and informed the fans she now has her managers license and was bringing back a man the built the foundation of AAW...... JASON DUKES. The fans were all over Dukes as he laid out an open challenge to anyone in the back. The challenge was answered by none other than...... SILAS YOUNG! Young shocked everyone and said since he was hanging out in the back and loved wrestling and making money he wanted to take on Dukes.

Silas Young d. Jason Dukes w/ Valerie Malone

Dukes actually looked to be in the best shape of his career here but after a hard fought match Silas put away his old rival with a headstand moonsault. Post match Silas got revenge on Malone and laid her out with a spinebuster.

Jimmy Jacobs w/ Lacey d. Eric Priest in a Dog Collar Match to become the NEW AAW HERITAGE CHAMPION

Before the match Jacobs introduced Lacey who would now be in his corner. This was a bloody and brutal match that saw Jacobs tie Priest to the turnbuckles with both chains and unleash a half dozen chair shots on the champ. After Priest was able to somehow kick out, Chandler McClure hit the ring and attacked Priest leading to a Jacobs top rope senton for the win and the Heritage Title.

*Backstage promo from Tyler Black, Shane Hollister and Mdogg 20. They were fired up for the main event against JJ Inc.

Dan Lawrence d. Derek St. Holmes w/ Koa Marie, Knight Wagner and Hunter Matthews.

Interference from Koa Marie backfired and Lawrence was able to get the win. After the match he called out Ryan Boz. Boz and Jacobs came out but were greeted by Skullkrusher leading to....

Ryan Boz d. "Skullkrusher" Rasche Brown

Jacobs came out and nailed Rasche in his right eye with a spike. Boz then finished him with a lariat. Rasche needed to be helped from the ring.

* Backstage Derek St. Holmes yelled at Hybrid and Brooks for losing earlier and not helping him in his match. He told them it was time for them to "go on time out."

Zach Gowen / Krotch w/ Nikki d. Trik Davis / CK3 w/ Dave Prazak

Trik had Krotch beat but CK3 tagged in. After a brawl between Nikki and Dave Prazak Gowen was able to hit a moonsault on CK3 for the win.

* Promo from JJ Inc. Daniels said they were ready to go to war in the main event.

Austin Aries d. Arik Cannon via KO to earn a spot in the 3/8 Final Four

A hard hitting match that saw Aries victorious after a brainbuster/ submission combo that left Cannon unconscious. Aries moves on to the final four next month.

Tyler Black/Shane Hollister/Mdogg20 d. Jerry Lynn/Danny Daniels/Marek Brave

An action packed match. Too much to recap here. JJ Inc was in control when Bryce Benjamin hit the ring and took out Danny Daniels. The fight spilled into the crowd when Mdogg 20 flew from the top rope to the outside leaving Tyler Black in the ring with the Heavyweight champ. Black hit the small package driver and pinned Jerry Lynn! Black and co. celebrated as the champ laid in the ring to end the show.

Thanks to all who came out. it was another hot crowd.

1/20/08 - Results from Path of Redemption

AAW "Path of Redemption" is in the books and yet another capacity crowd braved the elements and PACKED the Berwyn Eagles Club. Here are the results.

Pre show:
Dewey Dawson d. Knight Wagner

Tony Rican d. Jordan McIntyre

Brandon Blaze w/ Joey Eastman d. Saumray Del Sol

____________________________________________________

*Show opened with Joey Eastman backstage announcing that he had acquired the contracts of Arik Cannon and the Northstar Express. The Phoenix Twins entered and were not happy with their new stable mates.

Absolute Answer (Caden Ames/Chris Able) d. Derek St. Holmes/Hunter Matthews w/ Koa Marie

Another impressive win for the young team of Ames and Able. Should be a big year for the Absolute Answer.

*Backstage Tenacious P interviewed Keith Walker. Walker wanted to know why the fans have not accepted him since his come back. He said anytime Harley Race calls him he will always chose him over AAW.

Josh Abercrombie d. Keith Walker, Trik Davis, Shane Holister, Kid Hybrid, and Jeff Brooks in a mayhem match to win a spot in the Final Four match in March

An action packed match that saw Walker in control until losing his focus and arguing with the fans at ringside. Trik Davis hit him with a faceblower followed by a Shane Hollister flying knee strike to get the big man down. After Hollister and Trik were dumped out of the ring, Josh Abercrombie took advantage and finished off Walker with a Phoenix Splash. Abercrombie now has a shot at the title in March!

*Kevin Harvey interviewed Bryce Benjamin in the ring about his injury and comeback. They were interrupted by JJ Inc (Jim Jesus, Marek Brave, and bodyguard Big J) . Marek was about to lay out Bryce when Shane Hollister came out with a pool cue and cleared the ring.

Arik Cannon/ Joey Eastman d. Krotch w/Nikki

Krotch showed alot of heart in this match and was able to survive a vicious assault by Cannon. Nikki hit a beautiful hurricanrana on Cannon but it was not enough as The Anarachist hit Krotch with a brainbuster and Glimmering Warlock for the victory.

*Backstage Keith Walker snapped and attacked the Absolute Answer

Dan Lawrence and SkullKrusher Rasche Brown d. Ryan Boz and Jimmy Jacobs via DQ after Lawrence was attacked with a metal spike.

SkullKrusher and Boz brawled to the back and left Jacobs and Lawrence in the ring. Boz soon returned with a spike and they attacked Lawrence who was a bloody mess. This situation is far from over.

*Backstage The Michigan Invasion talked to Kevin Harvey about their match with the Phoenix Twins. Trik Davis walked through their interview and the Invasion attacked him. During the scuffle N8 Mattson accidentally hit Truth Martini and sent him flying down a flight of stairs, injuring him and taking him out of action.

Tyler Black d. Silas Young in Young's farewell match

Young came out and said he would challenge anyone in the lockeroom for his final match before going to WWE. Dewey Dawson and Jordan McIntyre both came out and Young made quick work of them. Then Tyler Black's music hit and the fans went crazy. After an intense back and forth match Tyler got the win with a small package driver. Valerie Malone came to the ring and gave Silas a kiss, but then hit him with a low blow! Silas laid in the ring as "Don't Stop Believing" blared from the speakers. Silas slowy got to his feet and received a standing ovation from the Berwyn faithful. An emotional Silas saluted the crowd as his AAW run came to an end.

*Eric Priest was in the back talking about his issue with Jimmy Jacobs and his upcoming match with Danny Daniels. Chandler McClure showed up in his wheelchair wanting some air time but quickly retreated after Priest threatened to worsen his injuries even more. A funny promo.

* Ring announcer Jimmy D. announced Truth Maritni could not compete and the MII vs Phoenix Twins match was off. It would now be a three way dance for the Tag titles!

Jerry Lynn w/ JJ Inc. d. Tony Rican to retain the AAW Heavyweight title

Lynn made quick work of Rican but was then challenged by Jayson Reign. It was agreed that Reign would face Lynn in the Main Event. TITLE vs CAREER!

Trik Davis w/ Dave Prazak d. N8 Mattson

* Backstage Reign signed his contract and smiled. The contract noted the match later would be contested under Hardcore rules and JJ Inc was banned from ringside!

Eric Priest d. Danny Daniels w/ JJ Inc to retain the AAW Heritage Title

Daniels had Marek Brave, Jim Jesus and Big J all at ringside with him. Towards the end of the match Tyler Black and Bryce Benjamin appeared in the entrance way. With the ref distracted, Shane Hollister hit the ring and nailed Danny Daniels. Priest finished him with the FU69.

After the match Jimmy Jacobs attacked Priest with a steel chain but Priest was able to take control and hold off Jacobs.

The Northstar Express (Darin Corbin/Ryan Cruz) w/ Joey Eastman d. The Murder City Machine Guns, The Phoenix Twins to become the NEW AAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS

Way too much action to recap here. Eastman was trying to be in both of his teams corners at the same time. He threw Tweek Phoenix his batton but Tweek refused to use it. Ryan Cruz had no problem at all using the weapon and Darrin Corbin got the win and the titles for the NSE when he hit a disturbingly hard kick to the groin on Chris Sabin behind the ref's back. The Northstars celebrated in ring as the Phoenix Twins and the Machine Guns were in shock. The fans chanted "Please come back" and Sabin and Shelley told them the definalty would be back.

Jerry Lynn d. Jayson Reign to retain the AAW Heavyweight title and retire Reign in a Hardcore rules match

An unbelievable contest that saw a number of weapons including tables, chairs, ladders and steel chains. A table was laid across the top turnbuckle early on. The finish saw Lynn hit a cradle piledriver from that top rope table through another table set up in the ring. Lynn is still the champ and Jayson Reign's career has come to an end. The AAW staff checked on Reign as the show came to a close and he was finally able to walk off on his own.

What a night. Thanks to everyone who braved the weather and made it out.

AAW is back in Berwyn 2/9 for "My Bloody Valentine".

1/16/08 - Full Preview for this Saturday

This Saturday 1/19 AAW returns to the Berwyn Eagles Club for “Path of Redemption”. Coming off the biggest year in the company’s history this show will kick off 2008 in a big way as some huge matches have been signed. Let’s take a closer look at the card.

AAW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
THE MURDER CITY MACHINE GUNS
Chris Sabin/Alex Shelley
vs
THE NORTHSTAR EXPRESS
Darin Corbin/Ryan Cruz

The Machine Guns have run through every team put in front of since their debut in AAW last year. DP Associates, The Michigan Invasion, York and Matthews, and most recently the Phoenix Twins have all tried unsuccessfully to dethrone the champs. This Saturday the arrogant young team of Corbin and Cruz get their shot at the gold. The Northstar Express has made a lot of noise in the tag team divison in recent months and after a few key wins now find themselves with the chance to become the youngest AAW tag team champions in history. No easy task as the Machine Guns have been dominate but the NSE has promised they have something up their sleeve for Sabin and Shelley this Saturday.

JERRY LYNN DEFENDS THE AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

Jerry Lynn will be in Berwyn Saturday night with Jim Jesus and JJ Inc by his side. The AAW committee has not yet named Lynn’s opponent but there are a number of men in the lockeroom that are chomping at the bit to get their shot at the title. Jim Jesus says AAW is trying to screw Lynn yet again but it will not matter as JJ Inc will run roughshot over the company for as long as they see fit.

AAW HERITAGE TITLE MATCH
“The Gold Standard”
ERIC PRIEST (c)
vs
DANNY DANIELS w/ JJ Inc.

There’s been a huge buzz regarding this match since it was announced last week at AAWrestling.com. Eric Priest is coming off a tremendous 2007 where he captured the AAW Heritage title and went undefeated for the whole year. Danny Daniels has aligned himself with JJ Inc and has shown a mean streak in recent months. This will be a match up of two experienced veterans who will have each other thoroughly scouted. Will “The Gold Standard” be able to hold Jim Jesus and company at bay and continue his unprecedented run or will Danny Daniels bring another coveted title to the JJ Inc stable? We will find out Saturday night when these two ring generals square off one on one.

SILAS YOUNG WILL COMPETE IN HIS FINAL AAW MATCH BEFORE HEADING TO WWE

Before Silas reports to WWE developmental he has requested one more match at the Berwyn Eagles Club. Rumors are running rampant as to who is opponent will be in his farewell match. This will be the last chance for the AAW fans to see Silas showcase his talents up close and personal and also their last chance to sing a long to “Don’t Stop Believin”. Expect an electric atmosphere for this one.

TAG TEAM CHALLENGE MATCH
THE PHOENIX TWINS
Tweek and Dash Phoenix w/ Joey Eastman
vs
THE MICHIGAN INVASION
Truth Martini and N8 MATTSON

A match up between two of the top teams in the midwest. The Twins have been reciveing alot of attention and acolades as of late and the MII are not buying it. They requested this match to make an example of Tweek and Dash and get back in the hunt for the tag team titles. There have been rumors of dissention between the Twins and Joey Eastman but he will be in their corner this Saturday night for this important match up.

GRUDGE MATCH
“The Party Danimal”
DAN LAWRENCE
vs
RYAN BOZ

The first one on one meeting between the former AAW Tag Team champs as Lawrence looks for revenge against his former partner and friend. Boz turned on Lawrence and viciously attacked him saying he was the one who carried their team and he was sick of not getting the respect he was due. Boz has joined up with Jimmy Jacobs and is now more dangerous than ever. Look for both men to leave it all in the ring in this very personal contest.

TYLER BLACK WILL BE IN THE BUILDING

Black was just seconds away from recapturing the AAW title from Jerry Lynn last month when Marek Brave made his surprise return and joined JJ Inc, costing Black the belt. Tyler Black has made it his mission to get revenge on Danny Daniels, Jim Jesus and now Marek Brave. Black’s Path to Redemption starts this Saturday night and no one in JJ Inc is safe.

- 01/08/08 - News Items

- The big story heading into “Path to Redemption” is the issue between Tyler Black and JJ Inc. Jim Jesus continues to one up Black and has now brought Marek Brave back to AAW. Everyone knows the history between Black and Brave and it now looks like Tyler’s decisions in the past may be coming back to haunt him. Black spoke of redemption last month and now it looks like he will have to go through hell and back to get to his ultimate goal of once again holding the AAW Heavyweight title.

- The Phoenix Twins showed they belong in the main event last month coming so close to defeating The Murder City Machine Guns for the Tag Titles in one of the best matches of the year. Tweek and Dash received a standing ovation from the crowd and earned the respect of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley but it was still not enough for their manager Joey Eastman. Eastman wants the gold and is rumored to be scouting talent but who is on his list and how will this effect his relationship with the Twins?

- The Tag Team division continues to heat up and after defeating DP Associates last month the Michigan Invasion again find themselves in line for a title shot. Truth Martini and N8 Mattson can cash in that shot whenever they choose against whoever the champions may be. The belts will be on the line at “Path to Redemption” as Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley defend against the Northstar Express.

- After loses to Eric Priest and Jayson Reign in consecutive months, Jimmy Jacobs has snapped. Jacobs wants the Heritage Title back and has made a cryptic promise that he will get what he wants “at any cost”. Look for a refocused Jimmy Jacobs in AAW as we head into 2008. Eric Priest needs to be looking over his shoulder at all times.

- It’s becoming clear that the managers in AAW have become obsessed with gold. Last month Dave Prazak made Trik Davis compete in a handicap match just to try and get a rematch against the Machine Guns. Jim Jesus basically bought Jerry Lynn and the Heavyweight title just to have the championship back in his stable and Joey Eastman wants gold so badly there are rumors running rampant that he will soon be adding new talent to Joey Eastman Worldwide. With championships come money and with the title pictures more competitive than ever before all these men are trying to build the strongest groups possible.

- AAW would like to congratulate Silas Young as he recently became the fifth AAW star to sign with WWE. All of us here at AAW would like to thank Silas for his hard work and dedication for the past three years and we are hoping Silas can make a farewell appearance before he reports to Louisville.

Eastman was irate and walked out after the Twins shook the Machine Gun's hands.

Jerry Lynn w/ Jim Jesus d. Tyler Black to retain the AAW Heavyweight title

Another great match where Black nearly had the title in his grasp on more than one occasion. Out of nowhere, Marek Brave returned to AAW hitting a superkick on Black and allowing Lynn to get the victory. Marek then embraced Jim Jesus and Danny Daniels while Tyler laid in the ring to end the show.

Probably the best outing Brooks and Hybrid have had thus far in AAW but in the end the MII was just to much and hit the Detroit curb stomp on Hybrid for the win.

The fans actually got behind the The Phoenix Twins here as they used a double switch to outsmart the NSE.

Jayson Reign proved to everyone that he deserved this title shot as this was a very competative match. In the end Lynn hit the cradle pildriver on a steel chair for the victory.

*After the match Jerry Lynn got on the mic and declared there was no one in AAW that could take the belt from him. The lights went out and when they came back on "The Human Massacre" Keith Walker was in the ring! Walker speared the champ and told him at the Windy City Classic "the title is coming home".

The Murder City Machine Guns (Sabin/Shelley) d. DP Associates (Trik Davis/Ck3) w/ Dave Prazak 2 falls to 1 to retain the AAW tag titles

An incredible match that had the fans standing for almost a half hour. Definately a front runner for AAW match of the year. Too much action to write down here. After the match The Micahigan Invasion challenged Sabin and Shelley as the show came to a close.

Thanks to all that came out tonight. The crowd was HOT throughout the show.

- 10/19/20 - Full Preview for Tommorow's Event

This Saturday 10/20 AAW returns to the Berwyn Eagles Club for “Massacre on 26th St”. The show will feature all three AAW titles up for grabs and will be the final show leading up to the 3rd Annual Windy City Classic. The climate in AAW is very competitive right now and every match means so much to these competitors. Let’s take a look at the card.

AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
JERRY LYNN (c)
vs
JAYSON REIGN

A match up of two ring veterans as Jayson Reign gets his first shot at the gold in his three year tenure in AAW. Reign is coming off a brutal summer long feud with Chandler McClure where we saw Reign (usually known for is technical wrestling skills) involved in hardcore wars and weapons matches. After finally putting McClure in his rearview mirror Reign stepped up to Jerry Lynn face to face and challenged him for a title match. Lynn is confident he can defeat anyone on the roster and accepted the match warning Reign he would hold on to the title “by any means necessary”. Reign is looking to prove the doubters wrong in this match and get back to his roots by out wrestling the champ and going home with the title. It will be no easy task as Lynn already has successful title defenses against Krotch, Skullkrusher and Delirious. Who will be the AAW champ heading into the Windy City Classic? Find out this Saturday night.

AAW TAG TEAM TITLES- 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS
THE MURDER CITY MACHINE GUNS (c)
Chris Sabin/Alex Shelley
vs
DP ASSOCIATES BERWYN BRANCH
Trik Davis/Conrad Kennedy III w/ Dave Prazak

Former champs DP Associates have invoked their rematch clause and will have an opportunity this Saturday to reclaim the gold. The MCMG have been impressive since winning the tag titles in their debut and are coming off a successful defense against Christian York and Joey Matthews last month. Dave Prazak has guaranteed a victory for his team in this one and has stated that the 2 out of 3 falls stipulation the AAW committee has added to the match will ensure Davis and CK3 prove they are the superior team. If this contest is anything like the 25 minute battle these four men had on September 8th the fans are in for another classic.

AAW HERITAGE TITLE
THE GOLD STANDARD
ERIC PRIEST (c)
vs
THE ANARCHIST
ARIK CANNON

These two men have been at each others throats for months and will finally lock up one on one this Saturday. Jimmy Jacobs wants the Heritage Title back in his camp and believes Cannon is the man to get the job done. Priest wants Jacobs back in the ring to prove his title win over him back in March was no fluke but he must not look past a man the likes of the “Anarchist”. Cannon will look to wear down Priest with his physical style while Priest will look to capitalize on his experience and ring savvy to get by the challenger. Interesting note here is that neither man has been pinned or submitted this year in AAW. Something has to give this Saturday night at the Eagles Club.

CHALLENGE MATCH
TYLER BLACK
vs
JOSH ABERCROMBIE

Josh Abercrombie has been telling anyone and everyone how he is coming to AAW to make a definitive statement and apparently he’s going right after the top talent as he requested this match with long time rival Tyler Black. These two men are no strangers to each other and will meet for the first time in an AAW ring this Saturday night. Black is arguably the hottest wrestler on the roster right now with recent wins over Nigel McGuiness and Austin Aries. The pressure will be on for both men as Abercrombie wants to get in the win column right off the bat and Tyler Black has his final showdown with Danny Daniels looming on the horizon at the Windy City Classic. Expect both men to go all out in this one which may turn out to be the show stealer.

TAG TEAM CONTENDERS MATCH
THE MICHIGAN INVASION
Truth Martini/Amazing N8 Mattson
vs
ABSOLTUE ANSWER
Caden Ames/Chris Able

The current AAW tag team division is loaded with talent and this match up will be a classic encounter of youth vs. experience. The MII are former tag team champs who went on a down swing earlier this year. They have a renewed fire and after serving a suspension for attacking the ring crew they came back and won a hard fought 4 way mayhem match last month. Absolute Answer are an exciting new team who utilize the high flying and quickness of Caden Ames coupled with the brute strength of Chris Able. Many have pegged this team the front runners for AAW rookies of the year. This will be their biggest test yet as Martini and Mattson want the tag team titles back and a win here for either team will get them in position for a title shot.

CHALLENGE MATCH
RYAN BOZ
vs
TONY RICAN

Last month we saw Ryan Boz turn on former friend Dan Lawrence and decimate the Party Danimal after his match with Jimmy Jacobs. Boz has claimed he was the driving force behind their team and was sick of carrying Lawrence. Boz now re-enters the singles division where he has an impressive 6-1 record. Ryan Boz has a mean streak and is a dangerous man right now. He had an open contract for this Saturday’s event and Tony Rican was man enough to sign the dotted line and take on the monster. Rican has had impressive showings in AAW as of late but this will be a big test for the Latin Lover.

ALSO SCHEDULED TO APPEAR:
THE PHOENIX TWINS
ADRENALINE OVERDOSE- Bryce Benjamin and Shane Hollister
“SKULLKRUSHER” RASCHE BROWN
THE NORTHSTAR EXPRESS- Darin Corbin and Ryan Cruz
SILAS YOUNG
DANNY DANIELS
“THE PARTY DANIMAL” DAN LAWRENCE
KROTCH w/ Nikki
“GRINGO LOCO” TYME PAIGE
DEREK St. HOLMES w/ Knight Wagner
BONEBREAKER BROOKS
KRIS HYBRID
“GRAPPLER” HUNTER MATTHEWS

All this and much more this Saturday night in Berwyn. History as shown that anything can happen in AAW. Don’t miss “Massacre on 26th St.” and find out why AAW is……

- First off AAW would like to again thank all the fans who packed the Berwyn Eagles Club last weekend. AAW continues to be the hottest ticket in Chicagoland wrestling and it wouldn't be possible if not for the support of our dedicated and vocal fans!

- Bryce Benjamin, Shane Hollister and the Phoenix Twins all put forth a gutsy effort in last weekend's TLC match. These men were given a chance to shine in a main event match and they delivered once again showing there is no "glass ceiling" in AAW and ever star on the roster has a chance to move up the card. Remember it was only two years ago men such as Tyler Black, Marek Brave, Chandler McClure, Trik Davis, and Krotch were all clawing their way up the roster. Look for newcomers such as American History Next, Tony Rican, Brandon Blaze, Absolute Answer, Samurai Del Sol and The Old Scholl Wrecking Crew to have the opportunities to make their mark in the near future.

- Ryan Boz shocked everyone when he turned on former partner and long time friend Dan Lawrence. The Party Danimal was banged up after the beating he recieved from Boz but has promised retribution. Boz claims he was the one who carried their team to the top of the tag team division and he no longer needs the "dead weight" of Lawrence. Ryan Boz now re-enters the singles division where he holds an impressive 6-1 record in AAW.

- On November 24th AAW will present the 3rd annual "Windy City Classic". This event is always one of the bigest shows of the year and this year will be no different. Already signed will be the final showdown as Tyler Black takes on Danny Daniels. The Windy City Classic III will also feature the AAW return of Austin Aries. Stay tuned to AAWrestling.com for news on this huge event.

- Phil Atlas is currently having visa problems and cannot work in the states for 6 to 8 months. He wanted to apologize to the fans for his cancellation this past weekend. Atlas will be welcomed back to AAW once his visa issues are resolved.

-Marek Brave and Ami Zane have both taken a leave of absence from AAW .

- Josh Abercrombie will be in action for AAW on 10/20 and many are eagerly awaiting what the man with the mustache has in store. Abercrombie has promised to change the style in AAW with his wrestling ability and his unique sense of fashion. Keep your eye on this young star.

- A couple new features have been added to the AAW website including a Photos section courtesy of Unrestricted Photography dating back to 9/06, and also a brand new messageboard. Check out AAWrestling.com

- 9/26/07 - Full Preview for Saturday's Event

This Saturday 9/29 AAW returns to the Berwyn Eagles Club for it’s second HUGE show in the month of September- “Rise of the Machine Guns”. The show will feature a Tag Team Title dream match as well as the debut of a former ROH World Champion and a death defying TLC match. Let’s take a closer look at the card.

AAW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
“THE MURDER CITY MACHINE GUNS”
Chris Sabin/Alex Shelley
vs
JOEY MERCURY/CHRISTIAN YORK

A match most fans thought they would never see as the new tag team champions Sabin and Shelley put the belts on the line against former ECW /WCW /WWE stars York and Mercury. The MCMG looked very impressive in their AAW debut three weeks back defeating Trik Davis and CK3 for the tag team gold. Sabin and Shelley did not hesitate to sign on the dotted line to defend the titles against the reuniting York and Mercury who will team together for the first time in over four years! It was Christian York who cracked the top ten rankings and chose to go after the tag titles with his former partner Joey Mercury and they now have a chance to jump right back into the spotlight by winning the AAW titles. An interesting side note to this match is that Sabin and Shelley are now in the position York and Mercury were in five years back. They are an impressive young tag team that many feel have all the tools to rise to the top of the business. This Saturday night we will find out if the MCMG are the future of the tag team divison or if York and Mercury have what it takes to reclaim their past success. Expect an exciting contest that will no doubt be the biggest Tag Team title match in AAW history.

CHALLENGE MATCH
TYLER BLACK
vs
AUSTIN ARIES

There is no denying that Tyler Black is one of the most talented young stars in wrestling today. He holds one of the most impressive win/loss records in AAW history with wins over the likes of Nigel McGuiness (twice), Jerry Lynn, Rhyno, Robert “Ego” Anthony and Keith Walker. While many do not agree with the tactics he uses or the people he associtates himself with there is no denying he is one of the most successful competitors on the AAW roster and may soon be in line for a shot at recapturing the AAW Heavyweight title. That being said, Black will face another big challenge this Saturday when he steps in the ring with international star and former ROH World Champion, Austin Aries. Aries, like so many other well known competitors has come to AAW to take on the finest talent in the Midwest and rise to the top of rankings. His debut is highly anticipated he will be looking to impress the AAW commitee with a victory over Tyler Black.

TABLES, LADDERS, AND CHAIRS
THE PHOENIX TWINS w/ Joey Eastman
vs
“ADRENALINE OVERDOSE”
Bryce Benjamin/Shane Hollister

The hatred between these two teams is well documented. Joey Eastman turned on Benjamin and Hollister to align himself with The Phoenix Twins and this war has been waged for the past six months. This Saturday night the Berwyn Eagles Club will be the final battle ground as these men will participate in one of the most dangerous matches in wrestling; The TLC match. All four men in this match know the risks involved in such a contest and Bryce Benjamin and Hollister have gone on record saying this will be the last time we see the Phoenix Twins in AAW and they will get their revenge on Joey Eastman, no matter what the cost. This promises to be a wild encounter with so much animosity on both sides and so much at stake. The winners of this match will be at the front of the line for a tag team title shot if there are in fact any “winners” in a match of this nature. These four men may never be the same after this Saturday night in Berwyn.

CHALLENGE MATCH
JIMMY JACOBS
vs
PHIL ATLAS

Young Candian star Phil Atlas is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in AAW. Fresh off a stint at the All Japan Dojo, Atlas was victorious in a 4 way Mayhem match three weeks ago that also featured Jimmy Jacobs. This was Jacobs first match back after recovering from a knee injury and he was enraged he was not able to get a win in his comeback. Jacobs challenged Atlas to this match and he was more than willing to accept. Phil Atlas was on the receiving end of a cane shot from Jacobs back in May that left him with a concussion and he has wanted retribution ever since. Atlas will need to watch his back in this one as wherever Jacobs goes, his friends Arik Cannon and the Northstar Express are not far behind.

“THE NORTHSTAR EXPRESS”
Darin Corbin/Ryan Cruz
vs
AAW HERITAGE CHAMPION
“THE GOLD STANDARD” ERIC PRIEST / TBA

Jimmy Jacobs, Arik Cannon and The NSE continue to be a thorn in the side of Eric Priest. “The Gold Standard” has vowed to go through everyone to get Jimmy Jacobs back in the ring and prove once and for all that he is the rightful owner of the Heritage Title. After numerous three on one beatdowns Priest requested this contest with the Northstar Express and actually wanted the match to be a 2 on 1 handicapped match. The AAW comittee agreed to sign the match but told Priest he would have to select a partner. There are a lot of guys on the roster who would love to get their hands on Corbin and Cruz. Who will Priest choose to fight beside him this Saturday?

DANNY DANIELS
vs
“THE ANARCHIST”
ARIK CANNON

A battle between two men who are no strangers to one another and are not afraid to mix it up in the ring. Daniels has been a man possesed since his wars with Tyler Black earlier this year and Arik Cannon has been impressive since he debuted as a part of Jimmy Jacobs stable in June. This match may come down to who can hit their signature maneuver first as it will Daniel’s piledriver against Cannon’s Glimmering Warlock.

“MDOGG 20” MATT CROSS

- 9/13/07 - News Items

- The big news coming out of “Reign of Violence” last weekend is AAW has new Tag Team Champions in “The Murder City Machine Guns” Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. There was so much speculation as to who Sabin and Shelley would align themselves with but it turns out all they wanted was the tag team gold and they got it when they defeated DP Associates (Trik Davis and CK3) in what many are calling the greatest tag title match in AAW history. Although they were not scheduled to appear for AAW on 9/29 the new champs immediately signed on to defend the belts against the reuniting Joey Mercury and Christian York in a highly anticipated contest that many fans are calling a “dream match”.

- There’s a huge buzz right now concerning the arrival of Josh Abercrombie to AAW. The man with mustache briefly appeared during The Northstar Express vs Zach Gowen/Krotch match to the surprise of everyone in attendance. A video was then released on AAWrestling.com where Abercrombie announced he had signed with AAW and was going to “make his mark”. Abercrombie has a storied history with Jimmy Jacobs. Has he come to join Jimmy Jacobs in his crusade against AAW? Has he come to stand against Jacobs and crew or has he come to make his presence felt on his own? Still a lot of questions surrounding this issue and it will be interesting to see when and where Abercrombie makes his next move.

- After another run in with Arik Cannon and The Northstar Express last Saturday the AAW Heritage champion Eric Priest was livid backstage. “The Gold Standard” has vowed to take out all of Jimmy Jacobs henchmen until he gets Jacobs all to himself. No one can deny the impact Jacobs and his cohorts have made in the last several months and some say Priest may be in over his head.

- Delirious made quite an impression in his AAW debut almost taking the Heavyweight title from Jerry Lynn and becoming an instant fan favorite. Word has it AAW officials are very interested in bringing the man from the edge of sanity back to AAW as soon as possible.

- The rivalry between The Phoenix Twins and Adrenaline Overdose has consumed both teams. The Twins and A.O.D both picked up wins last Saturday at “Reign of Violence” and were involved in a wild backstage altercation that needed to be broken up by security. These two teams are on a collision course for 9/29 when they will meet in the first ever AAW TLC match. Joey Eastman will return to be in Tweek and Dash’s corner and it is apparent that Hollister and Benjamin will be looking to get their hands on their former manager.

- Phil Atlas made a triumphant return last weekend pinning BJ Whitmer and winning a 4 way mayhem match that also saw Jimmy Jacobs return to in ring action. Jacobs is said to be embarrassed he did not get his hand raised in his return and has challenged Atlas to a one on one match on 9/29. The young Canadian has accepted and will try to get revenge on Jacobs for nailing him with a cane and taking him out of action back in June.

- Chandler McClure re injured his shoulder when he was put through a table in a wild “fans bring the weapons” match against Jayson Reign last weekend and will be out of action indefinitely. More on his condition as it becomes available.

- Jayson Reign is also battered and bruised after the weapons match on Saturday with Chandler McClure and has been given the 9/29 show off to heal some nagging injuries. Reign has finally ended the issue with McClure and now has his sights set on Jerry Lynn’s AAW Heavyweight title. AAWrestling.com has learned that the match has been signed and Jerry Lynn will defend the belt against Jayson Reign on 10/20.

- New AAW DVD’s released this week include “Scars and Stripes 07”, “Hostile Intentions”, and “Unleashed”. Be sure to check out the merchandise section of AAWrestling.com for more info.

- 9/10/07 - Full Results from 9/8

AAW "Reign of Violence is in the books and what a show it was! Here are the results.

Pre show:

Brandon Blaze d. Jordan Mcintyre

Derek St Holmes/Knight Wagner d. Absolute Answer

Tyme Paige/Samuray Del Sol/Tony Rican d. The family

_____________________________

*Show started with a Derek St Holmes promo. He was schooling his students on nutrition and made them drink raw eggs. The lovely Koa was with them and St Holmes had to eat a cracker to "supress the urges".

Adrenaline Overdose (Bryce Benjamin/Shane Holister) d. Kris Hybrid/Bonebreaker Brooks w/ Derek St Holmes, Knight Wagner and Koa.

Benjamin and Holister were jumped by The Phoenix Twins after the match and they brawled to the back. St. Holmes then said his students needed more practice and called out any tag team in the lockeroom. This brought out Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. The Murder City Machine Guns quickly dispatched of the ST Holmes wrecking crew when Dave Prazak and Dp associates came to the ring to welcome the MCMG to thier stable. Alex Shelley declined their offer and said they had a tag team title shot later in the night. Prazak then sweetened the pot. If Trik Davis and CK3 retained the titles the MCMG contracts would belng to Prazak!

*Promo from Friday night in Iowa. Jimmy Jacobs confronted Marek Brave who did not want to talk. Marek walked to the dressing room where the door was closed behind him and he was jumped. Jacobs opened the door and laughed as Brave was laid out.

Jay Ryan d. Skullkrusher

*Promo showing Ryan Boz arriving at the building and looking for Dan Lawrence. He found him in the lockeroom talking to Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs told Lawrence to "think about it". Boz was not happy but Dan Lawrence played it off.

Phil Atlas d. BJ Whitmer w/ Dave Prazak, Danny Daniels and Jimmy Jacobs in a 4 way Mayhem match

Tyler Black was doing guest commentary and distracted Danny Daniels taking him out of the match. Phil Atlas was able to get a surprise pin on Whitmer. After the match Jacobs got in Whitmer's face but decided to walk away.

Tyler Black d. Nigel McGuiness

Another classic back and forth match up between these two. Tyler got the win with his feet on the ropes for leverage.

*Promo with Kevin Harvey interviewing Jerry Lynn about his mystery opponent. Out of nowhere Delirious popped up in front of the camera and stole Lynns title belt as the fans erupted!

Jayson Reign d. Chandler McClure in a fans bring the weapons match

An absolute chaotic scene in the Eagles Club as weapons were flying into the ring and the fight spilled into the crowd. Reign finished off Chandler by putting him through a table covered in thumb tacks!!!

The Phoenix Twins d. Dan Lawrence/Ryan Boz

The Northstar Express came to ringside and went after Boz who was on the apron. The Twins took advantage and got the win on Lawrence. Alot of tension after the match between Boz and the Party Danimal.

Mdogg20 d. Silas Young

Mdogg got the win in this closely contested match after a huge shooting star press.

Northstar Express (Darrin Corbin/Ryan Cruz) vs Zach Gowen/Krotch went to a no contest when Arik Cannon got involved. Eric Priest then came out and challenged Cannon and the NSE to a six man tag. If Priest was pinned or submitted the man who defeated him would win the AAW Heritage title.

* Josh Abercrombie briefly came to ringside during this match to the surprise of everyone. According to a vido posted this morning Abercrombie has signed with AAW. Stay tuned AAWrestling.com later this week for an update on this breaking story.

Northstar Express and Arik Cannon d. Zach Gowen/Krotch w Nikki and Eric Priest in a six man tag.

Corbin pinned Krotch so there was not a title change. Priest cleared the ring after a three on one on Krotch after the match.

Jerry Lynn d. Delirious to retain the AAW Heavyweight title

Delirious had the fans on their feet for the entire match but in the end Lynn was able to escape with belt.

*Promo from Christian York saying York and Matthews would be in Berwyn 9/29 and will take the tag titles from either DP Associates or the Murder City Machine Guns

The Murder City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin/Alex Shelley) d. DP Associates (Trik Davis/CK3) to become the NEW AAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS

The crowd exploded as Sabin and Shelley defeated Trik Davis and CK3 to capture the tag titles. The Machine Guns celebrated in the ring as the show came to a close.

Thanks to all that came out and packed the Berwyn Eagles Club. Another capacity crowd.

- 8/30/07 - Tons of AAW News Items

- Big news out of the AAW offices this week is that Billy Whack has chosen not to renew his contract with the company and all decisions will now be made by committee. Whack did not return to the negations after he was attacked by Jimmy Jacobs, Arik Cannon and the Northstar Express in June. With Whack no longer in power, Jimmy Jacobs has been able to reinstate his AAW wrestling contract and the most controversial star in AAW history will return to in ring action on 9/8 in Berwyn against a yet to be named opponent.

- Jerry Lynn has an open contract to defend the AAW Heavyweight title next Saturday night 9/8 in Berwyn. After barely getting a win over Skullkrusher Rasche Brown last month Lynn has told the AAW committee he doesn’t care who challenges him for the title and he will quote: “Walk over anyone in that entire lockeroom.” Surely there are more than a few athletes in AAW that would love to prove the champ wrong.

- A huge rematch has been signed for “Reign of Violence” on 9/8 as Nigel McGuiness takes on JJ Inc’s Tyler Black almost a year to the day of their first encounter at “Day of Reckoning 06” (which you can purchase now at AAWrestling.com). Their first match is widely regarded as one of the finest matches in AAW history and a contest that raised the bar as far as in ring competition in AAW. Last time it was the then Heavyweight Champion, Tyler Black that got his hand raised and next Saturday night McGuiness looks to avenge that defeat and climb back into title contention.

- Nigel McGuiness is not the only problem Tyler Black has on his hands as his issue with Danny Daniels seems to be headed toward a final showdown. The pure hatred between these two men has almost reached it’s boiling point and with JJ Inc’s Jim Jesus and Ms. Mattano both still recovering from neck injuries it appears Daniels is closer than ever to his goal of getting a true one on one match to settle this volatile issue once and for all.

- Speaking of volatile issues, Jayson Reign and Chandler McClure will end their blood feud on 9/8 at “Reign of Violence”. The fans have truly gotten behind Jayson Reign in 2007 and it has pushed Chandler to the edge of insanity! The AAW faithful have truly gotten under the skin of the JJ Inc member and what a more fitting way to end this issue than an AAW first……. a Fans Bring the Weapons match! The people will be able to supply these two men with objects they will use to inflict pain on one another and if their previous encounters are any indication, this match has the potential to be the most out of control brawl the Eagles Club has ever seen!

- Another first for AAW has been signed for our second September show on the 29th as Adrenaline Overdose will face The Phoenix Twins w/ Joey Eastman in a TLC match! One of the most dangerous matches in wrestling will hopefully end the issue between these two teams. Bryce Benjamin and Shane Hollister came so close to getting their revenge last month until Eastman’s new enforcer Brandon Blaze cost them a victory. The stakes are high in this one and Benjamin has promised he will get his hands on Joey Eastman no matter what the costs.

- As seen last week on AAWrestling.com the Michigan Invasion went bezerk after their loss on the 8/11 card and attacked the ring crew as they were breaking down after the show. Martini and Mattson have been ordered to sit out the 9/8 show for their actions but sources close to the situation are saying that The Murder City Machine Guns will be filling the void of the men from Detroit and have indeed joined the MII. Dave Prazak, Joey Eastman and Jim Jesus are all discounting these rumors and all claim the Machine Guns will be joining their stables. One thing is for sure, the atmosphere at the Eagles Club will be electric next Saturday as Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley make their long awaited AAW debuts.

- Ryan Boz is still nursing the knee injury he sustained last month in a match against the Northstar Express and he may not be medically cleared to join his partner Dan Lawrence in their scheduled match against the Phoenix Twins next weekend. This injury could not have come at worse time for the former tag team champs as they have had some disappointing loses as of late and were looking to get back in the tag team title picture. More on this issue as it develops.

- Keep an eye on AAWrestling.com in the coming days for new DVD releases including the big “Scars and Stripes 07” show featuring the much talked about Berwyn Street Fight between JJ Inc and Danny Daniels/Jayson Reign and Eric Priest vs Joey Mercury.

- The big news coming out of “Hostile Intentions” last weekend was the announcement that “The Murder City Machine Guns” Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley will debut in AAW on 9/8 at “Reign of Violence”. There are still questions to be answered as JJ Inc, DP Associates, Joey Eastman, The Michigan Invasion, and Jimmy Jacobs have all been in contact with Sabin and Shelley about joining their stables. Although their opponents for 9/8 have yet to be announced the rumor going around the lockeroom is that the Machine Guns want to add the AAW Tag Team titles to their already impressive resumes.

- Eric Priest continued his win streak last weekend defeating “Roughneck” Jay Ryan to retain the AAW Heritage title but paid a heavy price after the match as he was beaten down by Arik Cannon and The Northstar Express. After nailing the champ with his patented “Glimmering Warlock”, Cannon got on the mic and told Priest that the Heritage belt belongs to his friend Jimmy Jacobs and he was bringing it back to him on 9/8. While Priest has been the most dominant wrestler on the roster this year it may be possible that he is wearing down after so many grueling title defenses. Jacobs and crew have been unstoppable thus far and Arik Cannon may be the man to finally uncrown “The Gold Standard” on Sept 8th.

- Young Canadian stand out Phil Atlas is currently finishing up his training at the All Japan Dojo and returns to the states just in time for the 9/8 AAW event. Atlas will look to climb back up the rankings competing in a 4 way mayhem match against BJ Whitmer, Mdogg20 and Danny Daniels. The last time we saw Atlas in an AAW ring he was being beaten with a cane by Jimmy Jacobs and you better believe Atlas will be looking for some payback upon his return.

- Dave Prazak has drawn the ire of AAW officials since his team of Conrad Kennedy III and Trik Davis won the tag team titles. In the absence of a CEO, Prazak has been picking and choosing title defenses for the champs. While Absolute Answer and American History Next gave CK3 and Davis a run for their money, The Northstar Express, The Phoenix Twins and Adrenaline Overdose are all higher in the rankings. You also have to consider former tag champs Boz and Lawrence and the MII. Add Sabin and Shelley to the mix and you have a very deep tag team division. DP Associates will soon have to face the top tag team contenders in AAW.

- Staying in the tag division, the team of Joey Mercury and Christian York will reunite for the first time in almost 5 years at AAW’s second Sept show on the 29th. York and Mercury will look to recapture the form that earned them contracts in ECW, WCW, WWE and ROH. Christian York has earned a spot in the top ten rankings and has chosen to go after the tag titles over a shot at singles gold. These men had a long closed door meeting at Scars and Stripes and are now focused on winning the AAW tag titles. They will get their shot regardless of who the champions are on 9/29.

- Jay Ryan destroyed the AAW lockeroom this past weekend after his lose to Eric Priest. Ryan has been on a bit of a losing streak as of late and is not taking it lightly. The Roughneck will be in action at “Reign of Violence” 9/8 and will be looking to get back in the win column. For those who have not seen it, be sure to check out the war between Ryan and Nigel McGuiness on AAWrestling.com.

- September will be a huge month for AAW with shows on 9/8 and 9/29. Both will be stacked cards featuring the likes of Nigel McGuiness, Mdogg20, Joey Mercury, Christian York, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, and Austin Aries!! Stay tuned to AAWrestling.com for more updates.

- 8/8/07 - AAW Rules

Many people have been asking at our events, "Why isn't the ref counting?" or "Why wasn't he disqualified?". AAW officials wanted to have more clear cut winners in the matches. Here are the official rules for AAW.

* The only way to win a match in AAW is by pinfall, submission, or a referee stoppage.

* There are no countouts in AAW.

* Disqualifications will occur if a competitor harms an offical.

* Referee's decision is final.

- 8/3/07 - AAW News Items

- Word has it that Jerry Lynn is not looking forward to defending his AAW Heavyweight title against the big man Rasche Brown at Hostlie Intentions on 8/11. The “Skullcrusher” has yet to be defeated in his AAW run and has defeated the likes of Silas Young, Tyler Black, Tracy Smothers and Derek St. Holmes. Lynn nearly lost the title in an upset to Matt “Krotch” Mayday at Scars and Stripes and if he does not bring his “A” game to the Eagles Club next weekend there is a very good chance that Skullkrusher will leave with the gold.

- What is Marek Brave thinking? This is the question still on the mind of everyone after Jimmy Jacobs again offered the former AAW champion a spot in his stable last weekend in Highwood. Lifelong friend Shane Hollister has tried to convince Marek he doesn’t need to associate himself with the likes of Jacobs crew and he has received two beatings for his troubles while Marek has stood idly by. Jacobs was at ringside for Marek’s win over Derek St Holmes last weekend but we still have no confirmation that Brave has accepted his offer. Phone calls and e-mails to Brave have gone unanswered and Marek appears to only be fulfilling his contractual obligations and then immediately leaving shows. Jacobs in an e-mail to the AAW offices earlier this week has stated that while Brave is his first priority he is willing to take a look at anyone on the roster who is interested in joining The Northstar Express and Arik Cannon in his stable.

- The blood feud between Danny Daniels/Jayson Reign and JJ Inc rages on after two physical match ups last weekend in Highwood. Jayson Reign and Tyler Black fought to a no contest while Danny Daniels defeted Chandler McClure with his trademark piledriver. Jim Jesus and Ms. Mattano were both absent at “Unleashed” allegedly nursing injuries sustained at Scars and Stripes. The intensity of this feud has many wondering what it is going to take to settle the issue between the two sides.

- Eric Priest is a wanted man. The Heritage champion has a long and impressive list of challengers in front of him. After a very closely contested match up in Highwood last weekend, Priest was able to continue his win streak and defeat Silas Young. Young is looking for a rematch, Jimmy Jacobs wants the Heritage title back in his camp, DP Asscociates still wants a piece of Priest and now the brawler from Cut ‘n Shoot Texas Jay Ryan has thrown his hat in the ring for a title shot. The next few months promise to be challenging for the “Gold Standard”.

- Speculation and rumors continue to run rampant in the lockeroom and with fans concerning the major tag team that has signed with AAW. We do know that DP Associates, Jimmy Jacobs, JJ Inc, and Joey Eastman have all expressed interest in adding this team to their ranks. The tag team division will never be the same and this duo will be a huge acquisition for whoever can land their services. We now know that the identity of this team will be revealed on 8/11 at “Hostile Intentions” in Berwyn.

- Staying in the tag team division, the problems with the Michigan Invasion continue. Martini and Mattson have not gotten a win since dropping the straps to Zach Gowen and Krotch back in April. With teams like Absolute Answer and American History Next now in the tag team picture, the boys from Michigan are in desperate need of a victory before they plummet out of the tag team rankings.

- Bryce Benjamin was back in action last weekend after suffering a concussion at the hands of the Phoenix Twins and Joey Eastman. Benjamin and Hollister (now known as Adrenaline Overdose) will take on Tweek and Dash in a two out of three falls match on 8/11 at Hostile Intentions and if they are victorious Bryce gets a 5 min match with Joey Eastman! Hollister and Benjamin looked excellent in Highwood at “Unleashed” but Eastman has already guaranteed a Phoenix Twins victory. This match will settle the score once and for all between these two teams.

- AAW would like to thank all the fans who came out for the Highwood debut show last weekend. Look for AAW to return to the Don Skrinar Rec center some time this fall.

- Finally this week we are pleased to announce that “MDogg 20” Matt Cross will return to AAW on 9/8 and has signed on for more dates through the end of 2007. Mdogg has been responsible for some of the most exciting moments in AAW history and look for even bigger things from this fearless young star in the future.

- 7/25/07 - Preview for Saturday

This Saturday 7/28 AAW debuts in Highwood IL at the Don Skrinar Rec Center for “Unleashed”. Another huge card just two weeks removed from Scars and Stripes. Let’s take a look at the matches already signed.

AAW HERITAGE TITLE
“The Gold Standard”
Eric Priest (c)
vs
Silas Young

This will be a clash between two stars that have been on huge winning streaks this year. After a change of attitude Silas Young has amassed an impressive win/loss record and has shown he is willing to take a shortcut to get his hand raised. Priest is coming off a grueling victory at Scars and Stripes where he outlasted Joey Mercury in a match that pushed the Gold Standard to his limit. Priest is a fighting champion and his quest to make the Heritage title the #1 championship in AAW continues this Saturday. Will the Gold Standard once again rise to the occasion or will the opportunistic Silas Young become the first ever 2 time AAW Heritage Champion?

SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
Danny Daniels
vs
Chandler McClure w/ JJ Inc

Two weeks after the brutal street fight that saw these two men on opposite teams they will now meet one on one at “Unleashed”. Daniels issues with JJ Inc are far from over and after the devastating “Daniels Destroyer” he gave to Tyler Black at Scars and Stripes, McClure knows he will be in the ring with a dangerous opponent. JJ Inc always has a game plan and claim they have something special in store for Danny this Saturday night in Highwood.

SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
Jayson Reign
vs
Tyler Black w. JJ Inc

The other two combatants from the Scars and Stripes street fight will also hook it up at “Unleashed”. Both these men have shown a mean streak and are both nursing injuries from the war in Berwyn two weeks ago. Look for a hard hitting, closely contested match up here between the ring veteran Reign and the arrogant former AAW champion Tyler Black.

JIMMY JACOBS WILL BE IN THE BUILDING AT “UNLEASHED”

The always controversial Jimmy Jacobs will be at AAW’s Highwood debut and has requested time to address several issues. What will the manager of the Northstar Express and Arik Cannon have on his mind? Does he still have issues with Bily Whack? Does he have another message for Eric Priest? Has he acquired the services of the “major tag team” that has signed with AAW? Jacobs has been trying to bring Marek Brave into his stable. Will he again try to coerce Brave to his side? Guess we will have to find out this Saturday.

TAG TEAM CONTENDERS MATCH
THE MICHIGAN INVASION
(Truth Martini and N8 Mattson)
vs
AMERICAN HISTORY NEXT
(Steve Stone and Hardcore Craig)

An interesting match up between the former AAW tag champs the MII and the AAW newcomers AHN. Stone and Craig look to make an immediate impact while the men from the Motor City look to get back to their winning ways. The tag team division is heating up quickly and with rumors of a major tag team signing with AAW making the rounds last week every match for these teams is important.

TAG TEAM CONTENDERS MATCH
“Gringo Loco” Tyme Paige & Charlie Manson Jr
vs
Bryce Benjamin & Shane Hollister

Bryce Benjamin makes his return to the ring after suffering a concussion at the hands of the Phoenix Twins in June. That issue is far from over but Bryce and his partner Shane Hollister must know concentrate on the high flying luchadors Paige and Manson. Both teams are fan favorites and this promises to be an action packed contest with a chance to move up the tag team rankings on the line.

Also appearing:

AAW Tag Team Champions DP Associates ( Trik Davis / CK III )

- 7/22/07 - AAW News Items

- First off everyone at AAW would like to say thank you to the 300+ fans who attended Scars and Stripes last Saturday making it the biggest event in the company’s history. We realize some fans had to stand and we are working on ways to reconfigure the seating to accommodate more people in the future.

- Speaking of Scars and Stripes, anyone who witnessed the brutal Berwyn Street Fight will not soon forget it. Danny Daniels and Jayson Reign showed what they are made of and decimated JJ Inc although they did not manage to get their hands raised. All four men are pretty banged up especially Chandler McClure who went into the match with a shoulder injury. This match alone is enough reason to purchase the DVD of the show when it is released. The amazing thing is it doesn’t look like this issue is over yet! Jayson Reign has challenged Tyler Black to a one on one contest in Highwood at “Unleashed”.

- A major nationally known tag team has signed with AAW and every stable and faction is trying to bring them into the fold. The arrival of this team will shake up the tag team division in AAW like never before and there may be a full on bidding war for their services. More on this in the coming weeks.

- Saturday 7/28 AAW debuts in Highwood Illinois for “Unleashed”. This will be a full on AAW production with the lights, big screen and experience the fans in Berwyn have come to know. Some big matches are already signed and this will be another huge AAW card. All tickets for this show are only $12.00 and the event is located right across the street from the metra stop. Check the events section of AAWrestling.com for more info.

- Silas Young will be the next man in line to challenge Eric Priest for the AAW Heritage Title. Priest is coming off a hard fought victory over Joey Mercury at Scars ad Stripes where he was pushed to the limit. Silas has been on a tear recently defeating All Japan star Joe Doering, Zach Gowen and Mdogg/ Chirstian York/ and Jayson Reign in a Mayhem match. Priest may have bitten off more than he can chew sigining on to defend the title against Young just two weeks removed from Scars and Stripes. Silas Young has a shot at becoming the first ever 2 time Heritage champion on the 7/28 at Unleashed.

- Sources backstage are saying Christian York and Joey Mercury had a closed door meeting after their respective matches at Scars and Stripes. The former ECW tag team partners have a lot of history and had not seen each other in years. York was able to hold onto his spot on the roster by defeating Truth Martini and Joey Mercury will also be returning to AAW in the near future.

- AAW returns to Berwyn on 8/11 with Jerry Lynn defending the AAW Heavyweight title against Skullkrusher Rasche Brown. Rasche has yet to be pinned in his AAW run and had barreled through the competition. If the champ underestimates the big man like he did with Krotch at Scars and Stripes we may very well see the title change hands at the Eagles Club.

- 4 new DVD releases at AAWrestling.com this week. “Nightmare on 26th St 07” features the big Keith Walker vs. Eric Priest main event. “One Twisted X-mas” features the first one on one meeting between Marek Brave and Jerry Lynn. “War is Coming” with the main event of Marek Brave vs Tony Scarpone vs Jay Ryan and “Defining Moment” where Jerry Lynn captured the AAW Heavyweight title are also now available.

- AAW alum and former Heavyweight champion Keith Walker was backstage at Scars and Stripes. Walker is currently under a developmental contract with WWE and all of us here wish him as well as all the other AAW alumni under contract the best of luck as they continue their careers.

- 7/08/07 - Full Scars and Stripes Preview for this SATURDAY!!!!

Saturday July 14th is the day every AAW athlete and every AAW fan has had marked on their calendars all year. July 14th the Berwyn Eagles Club will once again host AAW’s biggest event of the year, the third annual “Scars and Stripes”. This years show promises to be the biggest in the company’s three and a half year history. This is the night titles will be up for grabs, scores will be settled, and blood will be spilled. Let’s take a closer look at the card for AAW Scars and Stripes 2007!

JERRY LYNN WILL DEFEND THE AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE AGAINST THE WINNER OF A 20 MAN BATTLE ROYAL

Jerry Lynn defeated Marek Brave on May 19th to become the sixth man to hold the AAW Heavyweight title. After resorting to a low blow to pin the young champ, Jerry Lynn would go on to taunt Marek and the AAW faithful. This change in attitude has forced the entire roster to take notice. Lynn was once one of the most respected veterans in the AAW lockeroom and is now one of the most dangerous. A 20 man over the top rope battle royal will be held at Scars and Stripes with the winner earning the first shot at Jerry Lynn and the belt later on in the evening. With so much at stake friendships will be set aside and this battle royal promises to be an absolute war.

AAW HERITAGE TITLE
“The Gold Standard”
ERIC PRIEST (c)
vs.
JOEY MERCURY

No one has had a more dominant year in AAW than Eric Priest. “The Gold Standard” defeated Jimmy Jacobs for the Heritage Title back in March and hasn’t looked back since. Priest is coming off a huge victory over BJ Whitmer last month and must now step in the ring with the debuting Joey Mercury. Wrestling fans know Mercury’s impressive resume including a stint in the original ECW where he teamed with AAW star Christian York and a WWE Tag Team Title reign. This is without a doubt the biggest Heritage Title match in history as Priest looks to add even more prestige to the title. Will “The Gold Standard” continue his impressive win streak or will Mercury win gold in his AAW debut?

BERWYN STREET FIGHT
DANNY DANIELS & JAYSON REIGN
vs.
JJ INC.
TYLER BLACK & CHANDLER MCCLURE w/ Jim Jesus and Ms. Mattano

Scars and Stripes 2007 will mark the return of the “Berwyn Street Fight”, a come as you are match where anything and everything goes. The hatred between these four men has reached a fever pitch and this match will settle the score once and for all. Chandler McClure has been a thorn in the side of Jayson Reign all year in AAW. Reign got a measure of revenge in May separating Chandler’s shoulder and winning their match via KO. McClure would strike back in June costing Reign a victory in a 4 way mayhem match. Danny Daniels and Tyler Black’s issue has also been burning most of the year. Daniels was booted from JJ Inc after missing shows due to the loss of his father. Black and JJ Inc not only tried to end Daniels career but made the issue much more personal by urinating on the gravesite of Daniels father. This despicable act did not go unnoticed and Daniels was seconds away from finishing Tyler Black once and for all in June before the rest of JJ Inc came to his aid. Daniels and Reign were duct taped to the ring ropes and beaten down by Black and McClure while Jim Jesus taunted them. This volatile feud comes to a head July 14th and one can only hope the Eagles Club can hold these four men who will all be out for blood.

SIX MAN TAG
ARIK CANNON & THE NORTHSTAR EXPRESS w/ Jimmy Jacobs
vs.
RYAN BOZ/DAN LAWRENCE/KROTCH w/ Nikki

Jimmy Jacobs continues to be the most controversial star in the history of AAW. Last month he came through on his promise of bringing in his “friends” and they not only looked impressive in a six man tag team victory but they also took out former AAW CEO Billy Whack. Jacobs has claimed Cannon, Corbin and Cruz are going to run rough shot through AAW and what better way to make a statement than at Scars and Stripes. After Jacobs placed an open challenge last week The former Tag Team champs Boz and Lawrence have stepped up and have chosen the cult hero Krotch to fight beside them.

GRUDGE MATCH
ZACH GOWEN
vs.
SILAS YOUNG

Silas Young was at one time one of the most popular stars in AAW. He was sidelined in January with a neck injury and returned spiteful that the AAW fans did not support him during his road to recovery. He also blamed his former friend Zach Gowen for not being there for him. Gowen missed the event in March and was hospitalized after being attacked from behind at a gas station. Some say Silas may have been behind the attack as he seemed jealous Gowen picked Krotch as his partner and they went on to win the AAW tag titles. In June Silas interfered in Gowen and Krotch’s tag team title defense and cost them the titles. Now these two former friends meet one on one and chance to move up the AAW top ten rankings hangs in the balance

LUCHA RULES TAG TEAM MATCH
TYME PAIGE & CHARLIE MANSON Jr.
vs.
SAMURAY DEL SOL & DEMENCIA

A special attraction tag team contest showcasing the high flying style of Lucha Libre. AAW fans are no strangers to Paige and Manson Jr. as they have been a staple in the AAW Tag Team division for quite some time. Samuray Del Sol had an impressive debut in March and has called out the team of Gringo Loco and Manson. Samuray’s partner Demencia makes his AAW debut and this match will be high flying and full of excitement as the luchadores look to leave their mark on this years Scars and Stripes.

Also in action:

Marek Brave
Christian York
Truth Martini
The Phoenix Twins
Absolute Answer
Shane Hollister
Jay Ryan
Derek St. Holmes w/ nephew Knight Wagner
Bonebreaker Brooks
Killer Kris Hybrid
Hunter Mathews
Tony Rican

- 6/21/07 - AAW News Items

AAW’s biggest event of the year Scars and Stripes will once again be held at the Berwyn Eagles Club on July 14th. Jerry Lynn will defend the AAW Heavyweight title against the winner of a 20 man battle royal. AAW was expecting a taped message from the new champ to be played at “Point of No Return” last weekend but it never arrived. Lynn sent an e-mail to the AAW offices stating the fans don’t deserve a promo from the champ and the battle royal doesn’t concern him as he can easily defeat anyone in the AAW lockeroom.

Jimmy Jacobs and his new stable of Arik Cannon and The Northstar Express made a big impact at Point of No Return issuing a beating to former AAW CEO Billy Whack and then an impressive win in a six man tag match. Jacobs and crew have made it no secret they are in AAW to take control and win all the gold. Word in the lockeroom is that there are several AAW stars who want a piece of Jacobs and company at Scars and Stripes.

Scars and Stripes will also feature a Berwyn Street Fight pitting Danny Daniels and Jayson Reign against JJ Inc’s Tyler Black and Chandler McClure. The hatred between these four men will finally come to a head on July 14th . After Reign knocked out McClure and dislocated his shoulder in their no holds barred match and Daniels was about to end Tyler Black’s career this past Saturday JJ Inc tied their enemies to the ring ropes and humillated them. This match will be an absolute war and the Eagles Club may not be able to contain these four men who will all be out for blood.

Billy Whack is currently in the process of renegotiating a contract to return to AAW as CEO but the two sides have yet to reach an agreement. Some are wondering if the events of this past weekend will play a part in Whack’s decision.

Marek Brave seems to be at a crossroads. After defending the AAW championship throughout numerous injuries it was hard to deny that the fans began to rebel against the young star. Jimmy Jacobs has offered Brave a spot in his new stable and word has it that Brave was seen talking with Jacobs, Darrin Corbin and Ryan Cruz outside the Eagles club after the show this past weekend.

Bryce Benjamin was diagnosed with a severe concussion after receiving a devastating powerbomb on a chair courtesy of The Phoenix Twins. Benjamin is doubtful for Scars and Stripes but you can bet the issue between Hollister/Benjamin and Joey Eastman’s boys Tweek and Dash is far from over.

Tony Scarpone will be taping his rehab from ankle surgery in what he is calling “Scarpone 24/7”. The former AAW champ recently underwent surgery and will be documenting his road back to the ring in what he promises will be in an “entertaining” fashion.

AAW is looking forward to debuting in Highwood IL on 7/28. This will be the first step in expanding the AAW brand and will also feature several exciting new talents. More on the card as it develops.

- 6/18/07 - Results from Saturday

AAW Point of No Return is in the books. Another packed house at the Eagles club witnessed the beow results.

Ami Zane opened the show and was confronted by JJ Inc's Ms. Mattano. A cat fight ensued.

Jimmy Jacobs came out and put his hands on Ami Zane. This brought out Marek Brave. Jacobs tries to persuade Brave to join forces with him saying the fans no longer cared about the former AAW champ. Billy Whack came out to confront Jacobs and was attatcked by Arik Cannon and The Northstar Express! Whack needed to helped backstage. Brave did not try to help Whack but also did not join Jacobs.

Silas Young d. Jayson Reign, Christian York and Mdogg20 in a 4 way Mayhem match

Skullkrusher d. Hunter Matthews
Skullkrusher d. Bonebreaker Brooks and Killer Kris Hybrid
Skullkrusher d. Derek St. Holmes

After Skullkrusher ran through St. Holmes and all his students he called out Jerry Lynn saying he was the next AAW Heavyweight champ.

Arik Cannon and the Northstar Express w/ Jimmy Jacobs d. Tony Rican, Tyme Paige and Charlie Manson Jr.

Jacobs proclaimed they were going to run through everyone in AAW and that Corbin and Cruz will soon be tag team champs and Cannon will take the Heritage title.

Kevin Harvey interviewed a frustrated Christian York in the back. York said all he wanted was to earn a spot in AAW and the competition here was tougher than he expected. He then said he was looking forward to seeing his former ECW tag team partner Joey Mercury at Scars and Stripes.

Danny Daniels and Tyler Black went to a no contest.

A wild match that saw Daniels send Black flying from the apron into the third row on top of the fans. After two pile drivers Daniels refused to pin Black and then issued pile drivers to Ms. Mattano and the referee.

Daniels was about to finish Black once and for all when Chandler McClure and Jim Jesus hit the ring. Daniels was duct taped to the ropes and beaten down by JJ Jinc. Jayson Reign tried to make the save but was beaten down as well. Jim Jesus then spewed a profanity laced promo stating JJ Inc still ran AAW.

DP Associates Berwyn Branch (Trik Davis and CK3) d. Zach Gowen and Krotch, Dan Lawrence and Ryan Boz and The MIchigan Invasion to become the new AAW Tag Team Champions.

Silas Young came out and distracted Zach Gowen in the closing moments leaving Krotch to be double teamed by DP associates.

Eric Priest cut a promo backstage about hs match with BJ Whitmer and also had words for AAW champ Jerry Lynn.

Nigel McGuiness d. Jay Ryan

Without a doubt the hardest hitting match in AAW history. You really have to see this one to believe it.

Bryce Benjamin and Shane Hollister d. The Phoenix Twins w. Joey Eastman

After the match the Phoenix Twins double powerbombed Benjamin on an open folding chair. Bryce had to be helped backstage.

Eric Priest d. BJ Whitmer to retain the AAW Heritage title.

Intereferance by Trik Davis backfired and Priest got the win with the F69.

- 5/30/07 - News Items and Injury Report

Jerry Lynn shocked everyone at AAW this past Saturday when he used a low blow to defeat Marek Brave and become the sixth man to hold the AAW Heavyweight belt in the third fall of a very competitive title match. It seemed he resorted to the low blow after he could not put away the young champion. After the match he unleashed a verbal assault on Brave and the AAW fans. Lynn ’s first title defense is scheduled for Scars and Stripes III on 7/14.

Jimmy Jacobs made his return to the Eagles Club this past weekend and revealed as a settlement to a wrongful termination lawsuit he has a new AAW contract as a manager. He promised Billy Whack he will be at “Point of No Return 07” on 6/16 and he will be bringing a group of his friends that cannot wait to make waves in AAW and that Whack should be very concerned. Jacobs has many friends in this business and there has already been a lot of speculation backstage as to who will show up at the Eagles Club on the 16th.

AAW has learned Zach Gowen was apparently admitted to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn this past Saturday afternoon and that is apparently the reason behind him missing his tag team title defense with Krotch against the Phoenix Twins. More on this story as it becomes available.

Christian York made an impressive debut at AAW “Defining Moment” and has been offered more dates with the company.

Michael “Machine” Prater has chosen to take a leave of absence from AAW and JJ Inc. AAW wishes him the best in his future endeavors.

INJURY REPORT

Tony Scarpone continues to rehab from a broken fibula sustained last month and will be out of action the remainder of the summer.

Jay Ryan was not medically cleared to wrestle this past weekend due to a severe ankle sprain and an elbow injury. Look for the big man from Cut ‘n’ Shoot Texas to be back in action soon.

Former AAW champ Marek Brave continues to struggle with a nagging elbow injury and recently this past weekend in Florida, Marek suffered a severe back injury that will keep him out of action indefinately.

Phil Atlas has sustained a neck injury that will keep him out of action for approximately 3 months. A tough break for the young Canadian as he was in the process of working his way up the ladder here in AAW and once he is healthy will be welcomed back to the roster.

- 5/14/07 - Full Preview for Saturday's "Defining Moment" Event

This Saturday May 19th AAW returns to the Berwyn Eagles Club for "Defining Moment". With Scars and Stripes III looming on the horizon July 14th the entire AAW lockeroom will be stepping up their game and looking to earn a spot on the biggest AAW event of the year. Here's a rundown of the card.

AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE- 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS
MAREK BRAVE(c)
vs
JERRY LYNN

Since winning the AAW title in November of last year Marek Brave has been without a doubt the most fighting champion in the company's history. Brave has defended the belt across the midwest in recent months and continues to add prestige to the title. Last month Jerry Lynn challenged Brave to a 2 out of 3 falls match to see who the better man truly is after their previous encounters have been marred with interference and controversy. After narrowly pulling off a win against Jay Ryan in April, Marek Brave has accepted the challenge and if he can defeat a star the caliber of Jerry Lynn twice in one night it will most definitely be the defining moment of his AAW career. These two men have been in the ring before and this may be one of the most closely contested title matches in AAW history.

6 MAN TAG
ERIC PRIEST, RYAN BOZ and DAN LAWRENCE
vs
DP ASSOCIATES- BERWYN BRANCH
BJ WHITMER, TRIK DAVIS and CONRAD KENNEDY III w/ Dave Prazak

Former tag team champs Boz and Lawrence team with the current Heritage champ Eric Priest to take on one of the most dangerous stables AAW has ever seen. Boz and the "Party Danimal" have had their problems with Trik and CK3 in recent months and after Priest and BJ Whitmer locked horns last month DP assocites triple teamed "The Gold Standard". Priest has made it clear he doesn't need any friends in the lockeroom to have his back but he shares a common enemy with Boz and Lawrence as they all want to get their hands on Dave Prazak's trio in the worst way.

CHRISTIAN YORK MAKES HIS AAW DEBUT

York makes his return to the Chicagoland area for the first time in years and has an open contract for this Saturday's event. Who will step up and challenge the former ECW star?

NO DQ- GRUDGE MATCH
JAYSON REIGN
vs
CHANDLER McCLURE w/ Jim Jesus and Ms. Mattano

Jayson Reign has been waiting for months to get his hands on JJ Inc's Chandler McClure. There's no where to run now as the arrogant youngster must face Reign in a no DQ anything goes match up. Reign is sick and tired of McClure trying to make a name for himself at his expense and has promised to show the AAW fans a side of himself rarely seen. This will be an intense match up where two men mostly known for their technical wrestling skills will fight it out and try to get a win by any means neccesary.

TAG TEAM CONTENDER'S MATCH
THE MICHIGAN INVASION
TRUTH MARTINI and N8 MATTSON
vs
BRYCE BENJAMIN and SHANE HOLLISTER

The MII was stunned last month when they dropped the tag titles to the unlikely duo of Zach Gowen and Krotch. Hollister and Benjamin are in the middle of a heated rivalry with the Phoenix Twins and Joey Eastman. Neither of these teams are in the best of moods and both need a win to get back on the tag team title hunt.

6 MAN TAG
DEREK St HOLMES, "KILLER" KRIS HYBRID and BONEBREAKER BROOKS
vs
"GRINGO LOCO" TYME PAIGE, CHARLIE MANSON Jr. and TONY RICAN

St. Holmes leads his new students into battle against the lucha specialsts Paige and Manson Jr with their partner Tony Rican. Rican has had several impressive showings in pre-show matches and has been called up to the main show. St. Holmes protege's will look to finally get in the win column.

Also:
What will be the next chapter in the Danny Daniels / Tyler Black issue?

What is Joey Eastman's next move as he guides the careers of the impressive Phoenix Twins?

Jay Ryan came up short in his title match against Marek Brave. What is next for the man from Cut n Shoot, Texas?

Krotch and Nikki will be in the building. What's on the horizon for one half of the unlikely tag team champions?

Skullkrusher had the AAW fans in a frenzy last month. Who will he have his sights set on this Saturday?

Silas Young has turned his back on the AAW fans. He will be in action but may be booed out of the building.

The impressive youngster Phil Atlas will also be in action.

All this and more as the road to Scars and Stripes III contines this Saturday night. Don't miss "Defining Moment" and see why AAW is….

AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
MAREK BRAVE (c)
vs
JAY RYAN

Marek Brave has been a fighting champion since capturing the title last year and once again faces a tough challenge in the big Texan Jay Ryan. Ryan has made waves the past few months with his physical fued with Tony Scarpone and now he gets his first shot at the AAW title. A definate contrast of styles here as Brave will have to use his speed and agility against the in your face smashmouth attatck of Jay Ryan who may be one huge lariat away from becoming the new AAW Heavyweight Champion this Saturday.

DANNY DANIELS WILL BE IN THE BUILDING

Daniels is back after JJ Inc turned on him and his former student Tyler Black tried to end his career. Jim Jesus and Tyler Black then crossed the line last month when they showed up at Daniel's recently deceased father's gravesite and Black had the audacity to urinate on the tombstone. This is as personal as it gets and with JJ Inc and Daniels in the same building this Saturday this situation may get even more expolsive.

AAW TAG TEAM TITLES
THE MICHIGAN INVASION (Martini and Mattson) (c)
vs
ZACH GOWEN & TBA
The MII is on a serious tear as of late in AAW. The ran Ace Steel out of the promotion, sucessfully defended their titles in a brutal dog collar match against former champs Boz and Lawrence, and last month turned back the challenge of Tyme Paige and Charlie Manson Jr. Zach Gowen has been a thorn in the Michigan natives side ever since they turned their backs on him and left him in a pool of his own blood. What makes this match even more difficult for Truth Martini and Amazing N8 Mattson is Gowen can choose anyone on the roster as his partner. You can rest assure there a number of guys who want a piece of the Tag Titles and a piece of the Michigan Invasion.

NEW AAW HERITAGE CHAMPION ERIC PRIEST WILL BE IN ACTION

The resurrection of "The Gold Standard" Eric Priest's career has been one of the biggest stories of 2007 thus far in AAW. The man is running through anyone in his path and last month defeated Jimmy Jacobs, taking his Heritage title and running him out of the company. Priest will be in Berwyn Saturday night and has promised to continue his string of dominant victories.

TAG TEAM CONTENDERS MATCH
THE PHOENIX TWINS w/ JOEY EASTMAN
vs
TYME PAIGE & CHARLIE MANSON Jr.

Joey Eastman shocked AAW last month posing as Lucas and turning on Bryce Benjamin and Shane Hollister to align himself with Tweek and Dash Phoenix. Eastman has promised to take the Twins to the top but they must first get by the lucha libre specialists Paige and Manson in a match that will have serious bearing on the tag team rankings.

BJ WHITMER RETURNS TO AAW

Whitmer returns to AAW after his excellent match against Skullkrusher back in Februrary. Who does Whitmer have his sights set on? We will find out this Saturday.

Bloody Valentine is in the books. Another packed house at the Eagles Club witnessed the below results.

Tenacious P interviewed the Michigan Invasion who claimed to have beaten all challengers for the tag titles and they had the night off.

"Zero" Jay Ryan d. Tony Rican

Michael "Machine" Prater d. Krotch

Krotch's sister "Nicky" made her debut

JJ Inc cut a promo on Danny Daniels (who was not at the building) saying they had ended his career. They introduced "Ms. Mattano" as the new first lady of JJ Inc. Ami Zane came out and was grabbed by Prater. Jayson Reign hit the ring leading to..

Chandler McClure d. Jayson Reign

Eric Priest d. Derek St Holmes

St. Holmes issued an open challenge earlier in the night that was surprisingly answered by Priest. The "Gold Standard" won via the FU69.

Trik Davis and Conard Kennedy III w/ Dave Prazak d. Shane Hollister and Bryce Benjamin

CK3 is the new member of DP associates. The Phoenix Twins got involved here knocking out Joey Eastman and costing the N.O.P the match.

Tyler Black d. Tony Scarpone

A wild match that spilled all over the arena. Scarpone had Black beat when Jay Ryan attatcked Scarpone with a cow bell busting him wide open. After Tyler got the win Zero continued to pund Scarpone and challenge him to a Texas bull rope match!

Skullkrusher d. Tracy Smothers

Phoenix Twins d. Zach Gowen and Phil Atlas

Impressive debut for Atlas as he and Gowen worked well as a team but the MII got involved. Boz and Lawrence hit the ring and Billy Whack declared Martini and Mattson would have to defend the tag belts in an AAW "Bloody Valentine" tradition. A Dog Collar match!

Marek Brave d. Mdogg Matt Cross to retain teh AAW title.

Too much action to write down here. Excellent back and forth match. Tyler Black got involved but Marek was able to retain the title with a roll up.

MII d. Boz and Lawrence in a bloody tag team dog collar match

Brutal match that saw Dan Lawrence get split wide open and Ryan Boz get knocked out cold. Guard rails, chairs and tables all ended up in the ring. Martini and Mattson escaped with the titles after DP associates attacked Boz and Lawrence. The Phoenix Twins, Nation of Penetration, Gowen and Atlas all hit the ring as the show closed with a tag team brawl!!

- 12/28/06 - UPDATED NEWS FROM THE AAW OFFICES

- First and foremost, we here at AAW would like to thank all the fans who supported the company this past year. 2006 was without a doubt a breakout year and it would not be possible without the support of the fans that pack the Eagles Club each month and purchase the shows on DVD. We will continue to provide the very best independent wrestling experience in the midwest in 2007.

- 2006 was a dominant year for JJ Inc, but 2007 looks like it may be a rough ride. Tyler Black is no longer the AAW champion, Ami Zane has fallen from the good graces of Jim Jesus, and the alliance between Danny Daniels and JJ Inc has been greatly strained. Chandler McClure will have a chance to bring the gold home on 1/20 when he challenges Marek Brave but you have to wonder what Tyler Black thinks about McClure getting a shot before he gets a rematch.

- Billy Whack has made an executive decision and is bringing Tony Scarpone back to AAW in 2007. The former AAW champion and long time fan favorite will make his return to the ring on 1/20 when he faces the man who jumped him from behind last month, Zero.

- Eric Priest will be making an announcement regarding his future in AAW on 1/20. Last month following a lose to Zach Gowen, Priest had an emotional breakdown in the ring and questioned if he still had what it takes to be on top. There's been much speculation about Priest's recent behavior and we will soon find what the future holds for "The Gold Standard".

- Joey "don't call me Lucas" Eastman has arrived in AAW and is now managing Bryce Benjamin and Shane Hollister who will now go by "The Nation of Penetration". The Nation and Jadie seem somewhat reluctant to have Eastman in their corner but Joey has promised big things for these two youngsters.

- Jayson Reign has dedicated himself to competing in the singles division this upcoming year and the rest of the lockeroom has taken notice. Reign is a veteran of the squared circle and is capable of beating anyone on the roster on any given night. This may be the year Reign captures gold in AAW.

- Look for the tag team division to heat up quickly in 2007. The Michigan Invasion are the current champs but teams like Tyme Paige/Manson Jr., Nation of Penetration, Derek St. Holmes/Jason Dukes, and the former champs Boz and Lawrence are breathing down their necks.

- 11/09/06 - ALL OF THE LATEST AAW NEWS

- The Windy City Classic 2 is just a few weeks away and the match that has everyone talking is the no rope barbed wire match for the AAW Heavyweight Title between Tyler Black and Marek Brave. This will without a doubt be the most brutal match in AAW history. The hatred between these two men has been boiling for the last nine months and all comes to a head on 11/25 at the Eagles Club. The ring will be surrounded by barbed wire designed to cut and tear through flesh and will serve as the final battleground AAW's most intense rivalry to date.

- AAW would like to congratulate Keith Walker and Robert "Ego" Anthony on signing developmental contracts with WWE. Walker made his final appearance at the Eagles Club last Saturday at "Monster's Rage" coming up short in his attempt to win the AAW Heavyweight title from Tyler Black after an assualt by Eric Priest. Walker will be missed in the AAW lockeroom but his departure leaves room for other AAW stars to step into a main event spot.

- Speaking of Robert Anthony he returned to action in AAW at "Monster's Rage", or did he? Anthony was banished from AAW in September thanks to some underhanded dealing by Jim Jesus. Last Saturday Anthony's "alter ego" Egotistico Fantastico shocked the crowd and cost Danny Daniels his match with Marek Brave. An irrate Daniels demanded a final confrontation with Ego at the Windy City Classic and Billy Whack has signed the match.

- We have new AAW tag team champions in The Michigan Invasion. The MII won the titles in a closely contested 4 way at Monster's Rage. Next up for Martini and Mattson is a six man street fight at the Windy City Classic where they will team with big Eddie V. to take on former tag champs Ryan Boz and Dan Lawrence with their partner Zach Gowen.

- Jerry Lynn will make his long awaited return to AAW at the Windy City Classic. The former ECW champion will look to get right back in the title hunt when he takes on "The Gold Standard" Eric Priest. Lynn will have his hands full as Priest is determined to be on top in AAW and is more than willing to go through anyone in his way to get there.

- It appears that "Skullkrusher" Rasche Brown has become a hired enforcer. Since his debut in AAW we've seen him take payoffs from JJ Inc and Jimmy Jacobs to their dirty work. Skullkrusher is a force to be reckoned with and the entire AAW roster has taken notice.

- Jason Dukes has fallen on hard times. After a string of tough losses Dukes has dropped out of the rankings and has been lucky to appear in pre-show matches. Rumor has it Dukes has hit rock bottom and is looking for any way possible to make some cash and also get back into the good graces of CEO Billy Whack.

- Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs, the AAW Heavyweight and Heritage Champions, will be appearing on MTV's Pro Wrestling Society X. They are on their way to Cali for the tapings next week. Congrats to both as more and more of the AAW stars are making it to the national stage.

- Speaking of Rasche Brown, AAW CEO Billy Whack has suspended Brown for the 11/25 event. Whack has suspended Brown due to attacks on referee Andy Long at the 10/21 and 11/4 events. Whack also commented, " I don't mind seeing the rules bended in the spirit of competition, but I will not tolerate violence against my referees."
